BLOG - 5 Changes To My Study Programme

Hello, everyone! Today, we embark on a critical evaluation of the University of Chile dentistry curriculum. Let's thoroughly examine its strengths and significant challenges.
 
I'd like to emphasize the importance of introductory courses such as Anatomical Foundations, Histological Foundations, Professional Skills Development and Self-Care and Chemical Processes. These courses provide a solid introduction to the world of dentistry for new students, which is undoubtedly a positive aspect of the curriculum. Furthermore, the program's duration (7 years) seems appropriate for fostering the necessary scientific and humanistic development of a dentist. 

In terms of buildings and infrastructure, it's crucial to consider certain aspects that require a closer look. Some lecture halls may not be suitable for sessions exceeding 1.5 hours, characterized by inadequate lighting and uncomfortable seating, which can lead to fatigue, particularly in content-intensive classes.


Also, preclinical hands-on activities offer enriching experiences by teaching the use of essential technological tools in dental practice. Nonetheless, the associated costs of materials can be a burden for students.


Nevertheless, the perception that the dentistry faculty is relatively small can sometimes lead to students becoming overly familiar with the facility in a short time, which might be disheartening.

In summary, the dentistry curriculum offers valuable elements but requires improvements in infrastructure, material costs, and considerations for faculty infrastructure expansion to enhance the overall learning experience.

    Hi Diego, our University have an extense gama of facilities, but as you can see it also have some things they need to improve, nevertheless we also have a good education with high level teachers and demanding subjects.

    Hi Diego, I agree with what you bring up about the preclinical hands-on activities offering enriching experiences. However, I think the materials are expensive, and they often inform us with very little time that we need them, which is challenging both in terms of purchasing them and for our wallets.

    Hi Diego! I agree that they should improve the infrastructure of the classrooms. Poor lighting and the right temperature can cause someone to fall asleep haha

Well this question is a little complicate to me because  the idea "travel to the past or the future" I don’t like so much, since if i know what occurs in the future I would be very worry about my actions  in the present and for another way I thought that if I have to choose one I would prefer the last one I think, but only like a viewer. In this case, I prefer to go to the past to see my relatives, observe how they looked, and so on. For example, my grandparents, parents, uncles, an older cousins as they often tell me that my character is very similar to my paternal grandfather. Therefore, I believe that going back 30 years would be appropriiate, as it would give me time to see people who are no longer with us and those who are still with me. This journey to the past would naturally be rather long, knowing that I cannot disrupt the course of events that brought to the past today. BLOG 3 - My dream job

I have always had the thought that it would be so cooool live like a famous singer. This idea steams from my deep love for singing, mostly alone, and the music. However, this dream remains just that because I am a very shy person, and I would never consider pursuing anything related to that and the major I am study is far from being compatible with a singing career. Certainly, traveling to many places is a life goal mine, especially to countries like Thailand, France, England and the Netherlands. If, as a singer, I could perform my music there it would be spectacular. And I that all these travels could become a reality because the salary of a very famous a very famous singer is high. According to Google, there are some artists who earn millions of dollars annually. While I would have to spend time locked in a music studio, I feel it would be very worth it.
